A Streetbar named Desire

A salubrious drinking den on the streets of Parkwood, with a magical faded opulence, full of character and colour and an air of the-morning-after-the-night-before debauchery. Their food menu riffs off the richness that modern European and Middle Eastern cuisine has to offer. Using beautiful ingredients such as tahini, za'atar, pomegranates, coriander zhoug, citrusy sumac, rosewater; heroing plant based food; and creating an intimate and informal dining experience revolving around the sharing of tapas dishes. With their cocktail offerings, they tried to echo those flavours. They make all their own syrups (cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla, hibiscus, rosehip), spiced rhubarb shrubs, roasted black sesame seed orgeats. They use activated charcoal and kombucha and orange blossom water, and still try to pay homage to the classics of that magical era in cocktail making.
