Local music competition gets international backing

Simon Dolan, a successful entrepreneur, has selected locally based Global Moguls out of thousands of Twitter entries as one of his first three investments he will be backing financially. Simon is estimated to be worth over 65 million pounds and has set aside approximately 5 million pounds in an investment trust. 

Global Moguls is an online platform for musicians and creative media people to exhibit their work to a music and media-loving community, and also to industry professionals across the globe. Global Moguls attracts bands, creatives and fans onto the platform through an annual music and creative media competition, which is solely judged and rated by the Global Moguls community. 

The future of music is "free-to-end-user", and there are brands and companies that want to align to either a specific band or to music in general, who will sponsor tracks, music videos or tours to be able to communicate with the fans that follow the bands. 

Global Moguls has already opened its registrations for the South African competition, which starts in August. Bands, creatives and fans can register online at www.globalmoguls.com. The UK leg of the competition starts in September, and both competitions culminate in a live final where the top six bands, as rated by the online community, will play at a live and live-streamed event to see who wins the
