Mr. Eazi and Asa are billed to headline the much-anticipated Bassline Fest set to take place at Johannesburg’s Constitution Hill this Africa Day, 25 May 2019.
Known as one of the biggest music spectacles on the continent, the Bassline Fest will bring together twelve of the continent’s freshest entertainers who’ll electrify audiences with exhilarating sounds.
Tickets to the Fest are available via bassline.co.za priced at only R350, Golden Circle at R450 and R150 for children under 12 years old.
The Africa Day celebrations are an exhilarating music experience aimed to showcase African music, culture and diversity. Under a 25-year celebratory theme, the Bassline Fest will not only celebrate Africa day, but also a milestone 25 years of democracy in South Africa, as well as the celebration of BASSLINE’s silver jubilee.
Soweto Locrate market will be ensuring that there’s ample good food to eat & drink at the contemporary African Market, which will also host talented artists, designers, chefs & crafters.
Following on festival trends, Bassline Fest will go cashless using Howler’s cashless platform, which will enable a safer, easier, faster and more secure option to purchase tickets and buy food and drinks at the Fest.
Bassline Fest forms part of the Johannesburg leg of the IGODA Festival Circuit. Festivals represented by the IGODA circuit include Azgo Festival – Mozambique, MTN Bushfire – Swaziland, Zakifo Festival – Durban, South Africa, Sakifo Festival – Reunion Island.
Synchronicity is a theme with some of the artists having collaborated with one another; Kenya’s groove master Blinky Bill having collaborated with two of the artists, Nigeria’s Mr Eazi and Kenya’s Maia & The Big Sky.
