Get ready for Lusito Land 2019
A festival of food, music, and fun
Posted: Apr 03 2019
The annual Lusito Land Festival is set to take place this April, promising music, fun, and the finest Portuguese food and culture.
Hosted by the Lusito Association, a non-profit organisation for Children with Disabilities, Lusito Land has been one of Jozi’s go-to family festivals for the last 37 years. Over the years it’s evolved into a festival celebrated by the many cultures that make up Johannesburg and Gauteng, while staying true to the Portuguese tradition through its gourmet food offerings.
This year’s festival will take place over two weekends:
- Saturday, 20 April 2019 – Monday, 22 April 2019 (Easter weekend)
- And Friday, 26 April 2019 – Sunday, 28 April 2019.
Expect music by the likes of Mi Casa, Mango Groove, Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels and more, as well as an ’80s tribute rock show. There will also be a wrestling ring featuring SA’s Top 10 wrestlers and, of course, Lusito’s legendary fun fair will be in full swing featuring games, rides, and more.
This year’s Lusito Land will take place at 25 Cayman Road, Alewynspoort, Johannesburg South. Tickets are available via Computicket.
