Bones and Gypseys
In the year 2005 Kobus De Kock Jnr and Andre Kriel (then known as ‘TAXI”) opened for SGQ (Southern Gypsey Queen) at the legendary Nile Crocodile in Pretoria. The buzz around town was that they were the baddest bad-ass mothers on the scene.
Raised by the mighty Piet Botha and baptized in the waters from the Wolmer sanitary department SGQ that night opened the gates of damnation and invited us in with a smile and a promise. Then came The Black Cat Bones and our paths intertwined, our fate was sealed and legend has it that to this day when these two clans go head to head the earth will shake, the heavens will open and the ‘force’ shall be awakened.
On Sunday 17 Nov (because something like this must only happen on a holy day) Bones and Gypseys once again take to the stage at the soon-to-be-notorious Franks Wild Years Bar & Grill in Norwood (JHB) for a Rock n Roll year-end function of epic proportions…. and you are ALL invited!
Noise starts at 13:00. It’s a free show and we’ll even chuck in some free Jägermeister shots to the first patrons on the scene. After that it’s all on you baby … it’s all on you …
