Beach Volley Ball in Joburg

This weekend I found an awesome place where one can actually play beach volley ball in Jozi! Yeah, who says we need to be at the coast to have fun in the sand!  The George Lea Sports Club in Parkmore has a fantastic beach volley ball "court". It's like a sandpit for grown-ups. The club house has a fully-stocked bar and serves pub food. I didn't try the food but the booze was niiice! The 'stoep' outside the club house looks over a gorgeous view of our green, foresty city. It's the perfect place to spend an afternoon playing volley ball with mates and then having a few beers at sundown and maybe a pub supper. And for people who have little goblins, they can bring them along too. Totally kiddie friendly. Try something different for a change! It's like the zoo lake bowls club only more fun and with no drunken teenagers wandering around.
