Get to the Windybrow Theatre for The Lion of Gaza, on until Sunday, 28 February. The Lion of Gaza is about King Nghunghunyana of the Vatsonga-Machangana, who lived in 19th century Mozambique in the Gaza region during Portugal's colonial occupation. He was a grandchild of the great Zulu warrior Soshangana, who broke away from King Shaka to build a new empire in Mozambique. Nghunghunyana was betrayed by those close to him and failed to stop colonialism in Africa, both diplomatically and through the military. He was captured and died as a prisoner of war in Portugal. Shows are from Tuesdays to Saturdays at 8pm, and at 3pm on Sundays. Tickets are R45 and R55, from Computicket.
