Many Hands Make Light Walk

 VIEW EXHIBITION

Date: Friday 11 December at 6.30pm from Sandton City

Artist Usha Seejarim has made Sandton Central sparkle with a reinvention of her famous Why Men - the annual public art lighting project that turns the district into a beautiful place for a night time stroll. Over 30 specially-made installations can be viewed by car or on foot (the whole family)along Sandton Central's spine - Maude Street (from 5th Street's Sandton City in the West to Village Walk on Rivonia Road in the East).

Join us for a celebration and the official opening of the exhibit which will stay on until after the soccer in 2010 on Friday 11th December, 6.30pm - meet outside the Sandton Convention Centre and bring as many people, walking shoes and some water. Created and fabricated by Usha, installed by electrical contractors G-Kotech, hosted and sponsored by Sandton Central as part of their district arts programme which is developed and managed by AAW Art Project Management - www.artatwork.co.za

Usha Seejarim's brilliant Why Men Lighting Project has become an annual public art installation in the Sandton Central district. The project won the district two Business and Arts Business Day Awards in 2008 and 2009.  The third annual series will be up in November 2009 until after the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
