5 Restaurants to Visit on a Sunny Jozi Day
If you prefer fresh air to four walls

Living in Jozi means that we are thankfully, more often than not, blessed with gorgeous weather. If you're anything like the JHBLive team who find absolutely any excuse to spend time in the sun or under the trees, here are 5 spots you should head to for a sunny and lazy lunch.
1. Full Stop Cafe
This big restuarant in bustling Parktown North is definitely worth a visit. Their courtyard at the back is a little slice of serenity and just manages to help you forget where on earth you are. This spot makes for a perfect summer date night, too.
50 7th Ave, Parktown North
2. Soul Souvlaki
Here at JHBLive, we know Greek food, we're obsessed with Greek food, we believe in Greek food, and a lot of the time we insist upon Greek food.
Soul Souvlaki makes a fuckin' delicious yiro and if you've not had one yet, best you remedy that. Visit them at their sweet little spot in Maboneng, watch the world go by and eat a yiro made of only the freshest ingredients. Light and perfect for a warm day.
18 Albrecht Maboneng Precinct
10am to 5pm every day
3.Doppio Zero Greenside
Okay before you all sigh and think, "WTF JHBLive how very dreary and boring", let me say this! Some places are just good. Try as we might to always shake things up, try something new, go somewhere that's so hip it aches and makes you wanna vomit in your mouth but in a 'cool' way, sometimes you just want to settle in somewhere that you know makes good food and is comfortable.
The Doppio Zero in Greenside is lovely in that you one hundred percent forget where you are. The outside section boasts space under the trees, as well as a smoking section under an airy pergola. The menu is big and even your pickiest friend won't be able to complain, and someting about this restaurant just makes you want to drink white wine and laugh for hours.
Cnr. Barry Hertzog & Gleneagles Rd (Entrance Mowbray Ave), Greenside.
Perhaps Maboneng in general was made for sunny adventures. And so while you're there, after your yiro has induced your sweet tooth, head to Cocobel and get your fix while drinking in your beautiful surrounds where things like dessert being served from a Chevrolet Truck is casual and there are more colours and patterns roaming through the streets than you knew even existed.
Maboneng Precinct Corner Fox & Albrecht
6am to 8pm everyday.
Melville's new addition, Glory, specialises in chicken and a vibe unlike any other. This colourful little spot is unique and makes fuckoff delicious cocktails. Celebrate the sunshine with a bucket of chicken.
