It’s been almost six years since the world-famous grungy, rock ‘n roll group, Seether last performed their signature power rock show in South Africa.
This 20 May will see Marks Park in Emmarentia play host to ONE SHOW ONLY. The band will be performing a few of their signature tracks that South Africans have come to know and love, as well as some brand-new tracks off their latest album, Poison the Parish.
Recorded at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, it marked the first album produced entirely by front man Shaun Morgan and was released through Morgan’s newly launched label imprint, Canine Riot Records (via Fantasy.) So far, the album has spawned two top rock radio hits, ‘Let You Down’ which reached the #1 spot for four consecutive weeks, and the top 5 rock radio hit, ‘Betray and Degrade’.
Formed in Pretoria in 1999 as ‘Saron Gas’, the band accrued a nationwide fanbase before landing an international record deal, changing their name to Seether, and moving to the United States in 2002. From there they’ve toured extensively, brought out a number of studio albums, and have collected numerous awards.
Seether will perform at Marks Park at 12pm this Sunday 20 May. For tickets and more details on ONE SHOW ONLY, head over here.
